The office of the Controller of Communication accounts (CCA) , Uttar Pradesh (West) came into existence on 1st October  2000 as a field unit of Department of Telecommunications with the formation of BSNL as a PSU. However, this office shifted to Meerut on November 1st 2003 after creation of a new circle of Uttarakhand at Dehradun.

This office is entrusted with specific functions like collection of License Fee and Spectrum charges from the Telecom service providers of the circle , disbursement of USO subsidy to USPs, monitoring of rural Telephony and Broadband facilities , besides settlement of all the pensionary benefits to the retiring BSNL and DOT employees . The jurisdiction of this office is spread over 18 SSAs of Western Uttar Pradesh.....more
